Application
- Shot Blasting & Surface Preparation – Removes heavy metallic grit, abrasives, and blasting media.
- Woodworking & Furniture – Captures sawdust, wood chips, and shavings.
- Cement Plants & Construction – Collects clinker dust, raw meal dust, and cement fines.
- Mining & Quarrying – Separates ore dust, rock particles, and stone fines.
- Foundries & Steel Plants – Handles furnace slag dust, casting sand, and scale.
- Boilers & Power Plants – Removes fly ash and coarse combustion particles.
- Agriculture & Food Processing – Captures husk, grain dust, and coarse agricultural particles.
Cyclone Dust Collector
The Cyclone Dust Collector is a tried-and-tested technology that operates on the principle of Centrifugal Separation. It is designed to remove Large, Coarse & Abrasive Dust Particles from industrial air streams before they reach downstream filtration systems. Unlike filter-based dust collectors, cyclones do not rely on consumable media like bags or cartridges, which makes them Rugged, Cost-Efficient & Low-Maintenance.
The cyclone is constructed from heavy-duty mild steel or stainless steel and features a Cylindrical Upper Body, Conical Lower Section, Vortex Finder & Hopper for dust collection. Air enters tangentially, creating a high-speed vortex. Due to centrifugal force, heavy particles are thrown toward the walls and fall into the hopper, while the cleaned air exits through the top outlet.

Working Principle
- Inlet: Dust-laden air enters tangentially into the cylindrical body of the cyclone.
- Vortex Formation: The tangential entry creates a strong circular airflow (outer vortex).
- Separation: Due to centrifugal force, heavy particles move outward toward the walls.
- Downward Flow: These particles lose velocity and slide down into the conical section.
- Collection: Dust accumulates in the hopper and is discharged through rotary valves or bins.
- Clean Air Exit: The lighter, clean air moves upward in an inner vortex and exits from the top outlet duct.
